Für Irene.
Was können wir tun, wenn wir einen lieben Menschen verlieren? In mir machte sich Sprachlosigkeit breit. Corona machte bereits einen schlimmen Schnitt in das Miteinander mit vielen - auch zu Irene. Begegnungen konnten nicht stattfinden ... verstummten. Das bedaure ich sehr in vielerlei Hinsicht.

Hier liegt immer noch - als Mahnung an jeden Tag - ein Buch auf meinem Nachttisch (auf einer hölzernen Truhe), das ich ihr nicht geschickt habe. "Ingeborg Bachmann. Die Wahrheit ist dem Menschen zumutbar" (2011). Noch so eine Verschiebung. In einem anderen, neuen Sinn möchte ich einen Satz darin, in dem Wittgenstein gewürdigt wird, Irene widmen. Er handelt vom Schweigen: "Alles Denkbare, das das Undenkbare von innen begrenzt, deutet so auf das Unsagbare!" (S. 7-8)
Mit dem Unsagbaren, aber gestisch Fühlbaren - und damit semiotisch Relevanten - hat sich Irene beschäftigt, so wie ich im Feld des wahrnehmbaren Bildes. Das und viel mehr hat uns verbunden.

Den gerade fertig gestellten Aufsatz, habe ich ihr gewidmet: "On the Connection between the Perception of Vitality Forms in Images and Synchronization Processes in the Formation of Frames. Vitality semiotics and the prerequisites in frame formation using Katharina Sieverding´s 1973/74 photographic work, Transformers, as an example. In: Martina Sauer & Natalia Igl (eds.). To Irene.
What can you do when you lose a dear one? I was left speechless. Corona had already made a terrible cut in my relationships with many people—including Irene. Encounters could not take place... they fell silent. I regret this very much in many ways.
 
There is still a book on my bedside table (on a wooden chest) that I never sent her, serving as a daily reminder. “Ingeborg Bachmann. Die Wahrheit ist dem Menschen zumutbar” (2011). A further postponement.
In another, new sense, I would like to dedicate a sentence in it, in which Wittgenstein is honored, to Irene. It is about silence: “Everything thinkable that limits the unthinkable from within thus points to the unspeakable!” (pp. 7-8)
Irene dealt with the unspeakable, but gesturally feelable—and thus semiotically relevant—just as I did in the field of the perceptible image. That and much more connected us.
